Rose

Each time you whisper in my ear
I turn pomegranate red, darling
And you've a cherry complexion when
I breathe a little faster
No need for rouge or lipstick
Our lips are bitten and cheeks flushed
Hearts pumping ruby blood
And dusty damask petals for our skin
It's not in anger but in passion
I look through vermilion glasses
Because rose is too tame for you
But red is just right
